How to create a Facebook pixel
The Facebook pixel is code that you place on your website. It collects data that helps you track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize ads, build targeted audiences for future ads, and retarget people who have already taken some kind of action on your website. Examples of actions include viewing a product, adding an item to cart, and making a purchase!
It works by placing and triggering cookies to track users as they interact with your website and your Facebook ads.
To create a Facebook pixel, head to your Facebook Events Manager. From there, click "Get Started" on "Facebook pixel: Track website activities" and follow the outlined steps.

To confirm your Facebook pixel is working properly, you can install the Facebook Pixel Helper chrome extension. With the Facebook Pixel Helper, you'll be able to see all of the events firing on your website (and other websites 👀) by clicking around different pages and CTAs. A green check (PageView ✅) next to the pixel event is what you want to see.

If you see a yellow exclamation mark, something is likely off and requires your attention. If this is the case, the Facebook pixel helper will provide you with a brief explanation. You can debug further in your Facebook Events Manager:

Of course, should you have any issues with your Facebook pixel while getting started, our support team will be happy to help you out. 😃
